Yet You Still Feel Like You’ve Nothing to Wear!

I was stressed trying to find something suitable to wear for a special occasion from my eclectic wardrobe. My bed was covered with a mound of mismatched clothes, some of which didn’t suit me anymore. Some of the items even had the sales tags on, which meant I had never, ever worn them. Maybe they’d been an impulse buy, a so-called bargain.

But looking at them didn’t “Spark Joy” as Marie Condo says.

Why on earth did I have so much stuff and still nothing to wear!

Time to de-clutter!

It was time for a wardrobe a clear-out.

Listening to the women in my life, my friends and family, I know that many of you find yourselves in the same boat at times.

De-cluttering can be stressful too.

Yet when it’s done, it feels amazing.

The stress disappears, replaced by a feeling of deep satisfaction, knowing you can go to your wardrobe and pick out anything, put it on and feel good.

Where to start, that’s the question!

Regardless of whether you want to de-clutter your wardrobe or a room in your home, it can be difficult to know where to start. But getting rid of what you don’t like and don’t wear is the key to a having a capsule wardrobe.

After too many incidents like the one above, I consulted an expert. My daughter Gemma is a stylist.

She lives in the UK so we did a Zoom wardrobe de-clutter consultation.

The result? It took the stress out of getting dressed every day.

Finally, I could wear everything in my wardrobe, and more importantly, I felt good in it.
